SUPPORT WOMEN PRODUCERS

by Slaycey

One thing about Support Women DJs is that we are not just about who is playing behind the decks, but we are also invested in who is making the art behind the tracks.

Femme producers are on the rise. The girls are learning Ableton, putting in the hours, and creating incredible music. It’s inspiring, it’s overdue, and it’s happening now.

More than ever, this is the moment to share your tracks, pass them around the community, and get them played out. Because honestly, what’s better than playing out your own track or another femme-produced one?

Whether you’re just getting started in production or deep into your sound design era, one of the best ways to support this movement is by digging into labels that are femme-led or femme-founded.

Not only are you backing independent artistry, but you’re also actively shifting the gender imbalance that still exists across the music production world.

So here we are….

We’re highlighting just a few femme-run labels that are pushing boundaries and building community while doing so. If you’re looking for inspiration and simply new music to rock out to—these labels may be part of your next exploration.
