JERSEY IS NOT WAITING

7 DJs Reshaping the Scene Across the Hudson

house · techno · afro rhythms · trance · tribal

New York gets the headlines. Jersey gets the work done. And honestly? Jersey’s tired of waiting for you to notice.

There’s a scene brewing across the Hudson that doesn’t need Brooklyn’s co-sign. These are the artists building it: women who came up through house, techno, afro rhythms, and trance, who founded their own collectives, booked their own rooms, and created the spaces they wished had existed for them. Some are playing MetLife Stadium this summer. Some are pressing vinyl. All of them are doing it on their own terms.

Seven Jersey-based DJs worth knowing right now. You’re welcome, New York.
